Physical/Social Distancing
We remind our community to be vigiliant about practicing physical/social distancing, which is to stay home as much as possible and maintain a 2-metre distance from others when outside your home. Please minimize trips to the grocery store or to other essential service places. As always, practice good hand hygiene: wash your hands often and do not touch your face with unwashed hands.

Preventative Hygiene Practices

It is critical to practice good hygiene to help prevent all flu viruses and other communicable illnesses.

Good hygiene measures include:
  • frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (single most effective way of reducing infection spread)
  • drying your hands thoroughly after handwashing
  • using hand sanitizer if unable to wash hands
  • avoiding touching face/eyes/mouth with hands
  • covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or into your elbow when coughing or sneezing
  • not sharing foods and drinks with others
  • maintaining general health (balanced diet, adequate sleep, moderate exercise)
  • staying home when sick
