SCHOLARSHIPS

Grade 8 Entrance Scholarships
We are pleased to offer entry scholarships to grade 8 applicants who demonstrate the potential to fulfill the school’s motto of “Shaping Lives of Inquiry, Action and Joy.” The one-time, $1,000 merit-based entrance scholarships are awarded to three incoming grade 8 students who are in good academic standing, who are actively involved in athletics, music and/or the arts, and who contribute to their school and/or community.

First Nations’ Legacy Scholarships
WPGA sees enormous benefit in a collaborative and enabling relationship with the Indigenous people that lived in and around Vancouver since time immemorial. As the school sits upon land that has been transferred to the Indigenous Nations of Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh, we see ourselves in a long-term relationship; as such, we endeavour to work collaboratively with those Nations to build strong education streams, future capacity and legacy.

To that end, we offer up to three full tuition scholarships to students from the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations every year. Although preference is given to applicants applying at our grades 1, 4 and 8 intake years, we accept applications for all grades. Families are asked to complete the First Nations’ Legacy Scholarship Application. All students will be invited to take an assessment and attend a family interview.
