School Tours 
We will be hosting school tours this fall. Please check our website in September for tour dates and registration.

Applications for the 2017-2018 School Year 
The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 school year was November 28, 2016. Please contact the Admissions Office should you have any questions. 

For families who have submitted an application for 2017-2018, please refer to the information below regarding supporting documents, assessments, and offer dates. 
Supporting Documents
Once you have created a WPGA application account, you can upload the following supporting documents to your account before the November 28, 2016 deadline. Additional documents, such as the December report card, can be uploaded when received.

1. Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate
2. Proof of the applicant's Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
3. Copy of the parents' or guardians' proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
4. Copies of the applicant's June 2015, June 2016 and December 2016 report cards, if applicable
5. Copy of the applicant's individual education plan (IEP), if applicable
6. Copy of the applicant's psychoeducational report, if applicable
Reference Letters
We ask that you submit one character reference and one academic reference by December 31, 2016. Please follow the reference request instructions provided in the reference section of the application. Please upload the documents to your account; kindly do not mail or email to the school.

Attend an Assessment
Applicants for all grades are invited to visit West Point Grey Academy for an assessment. The format varies depending on the grade, but the overall purpose of the assessment is to get to know each applicant and determine his or her readiness for our program. There is no special preparation needed for these tests.

Grades 2-7
February 4, 2017
1 hour, 30 minutes. In-house assessment of reading, writing and group interaction.
Grade 8
January 14, 2017
2 hours. In-house assessment of reading, writing and group interaction.
Grades 9-12
February 18, 2017
2 hours. In-house assessment of reading, writing and group interaction.

Shortlisted candidates for all grades will be invited for a family interview with the Director of Admissions or a member of the admissions team sometime between December 2016 and March 2017. The purpose of the interview is to allow the admissions team an opportunity to get to know each family and for the family to ask any questions. 

All applicants will be notified by March 17, 2017 if they have been offered a place, are on the wait list or do not meet our admission requirements.

If a student is offered a place, his or her family will receive an offer of admission by email, which will include an offer letter and an enrollment contract. To accept the offer and secure the place, parents are asked to pay our New Student Entrance fee of $3,000 at this time. This is a one-time, nonrefundable fee. In the event additional spaces become available, we keep a wait list of qualified candidates at every grade level and may offer a place anytime in advance of the first day of school in September.
