At WPGA, we aim to empower our students to become the best versions of themselves. To provide an environment where a strong academic foundation is both strengthened and balanced by our commitment to character building, global awareness, outdoor education, community service and student wellness, we must raise funds from our community.

At independent schools, tuition and government grants cover staff compensation and operating costs only. WPGA, like other nonprofits, must fundraise to provide enriched programs, special teaching resources and facility improvements—all of which make our school an incredible place to learn.

The WPGA community has a strong culture of giving, notably through the annual Parent Volunteer Group Gala, the 2014–2015 We Live Here Campaign and the Shaping Lives Fund, our annual fund launched in October 2017. In its first year, our families generously donated $550,000 to the Shaping Lives Fund.

Donations from the Shaping Lives Fund were used immediately to support students’ priority needs. To learn where Shaping Lives Fund donations were directed, click here. We encourage all members of our community to give to the Shaping Lives Fund each year in a way that is meaningful for their family.

Giving to WPGA helps us fulfill our mission of Shaping Lives of Inquiry, Action and Joy. By giving to WPGA and our programs, we help shape the lives and futures of our students, to help them become future-focused leaders who embody our core values, including our Community Spirited value of serving others and giving back to our communities.
