Stage 2 Return to School Plans

Last updated November 27, 2020

Beginning September 9, we welcomed students back to campus for Stage 2 of BC's School Restart Plan: full-time in-class instruction. With extensive health and safety protocols in place, we are fully focused on delivering in-person, on-campus instruction. We are also prepared to shift quickly between Stages if required by the Ministry of Education and Provincial Health Office.

Shared Responsibility for Community Safety

We have a shared responsibility to keep our school community and greater community as healthy and safe as possible. Please continue to abide by public health orders: limit your bubble to your immediate household, maintain physical distancing, wear a mask in public indoor spaces, and avoid nonessential travel within and outside of BC.

Preventative Practices

It is critical to practice good hygiene to help prevent the flu, common cold, COVID-19, and other communicable illnesses.

Good hygiene measures include:
  • Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (single most effective way of reducing infection spread)
  • Drying your hands thoroughly after handwashing
  • Using hand sanitizer if unable to wash hands
  • Avoiding touching face/eyes/mouth with hands
  • Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or into your elbow when coughing or sneezing
  • Not sharing foods and drinks with others
  • Maintaining general health (balanced diet, adequate sleep, moderate exercise)
  • Staying home when sick. Click here for our school flu & illness policy.
