It is critical to practice good hygiene to help prevent the flu, common cold, COVID-19, and other communicable illnesses.
Good hygiene measures include:
-
Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (single most effective way of reducing infection spread)
-
Drying your hands thoroughly after handwashing
- Using hand sanitizer if unable to wash hands
-
Avoiding touching face/eyes/mouth with hands
-
Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or into your elbow when coughing or sneezing
-
Not sharing foods and drinks with others
