Stage 2 Return to School Plans

Last updated September 22, 2020

Beginning September 9, we welcomed students back to campus for Stage 2 of BC's School Restart Plan: full-time in-class instruction. We are fully focused on delivering in-person, on-campus instruction. We are also prepared to shift quickly between Stages if required by the Ministry of Education and Provincial Health Office.

Shared Responsibility for Community Safety

We have a shared responsibility to keep our school community and greater community as healthy and safe as possible. Please continue to keep your bubbles small, practice physical distancing, avoid indoor gatherings, wear a mask in public indoor spaces, and limit nonessential travel.

Preventative Practices

It is critical to practice good hygiene to help prevent the flu, common cold, COVID-19, and other communicable illnesses.

Good hygiene measures include:
  • Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (single most effective way of reducing infection spread)
  • Drying your hands thoroughly after handwashing
  • Using hand sanitizer if unable to wash hands
  • Avoiding touching face/eyes/mouth with hands
  • Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or into your elbow when coughing or sneezing
  • Not sharing foods and drinks with others
  • Maintaining general health (balanced diet, adequate sleep, moderate exercise)
  • Staying home when sick. Click here for our school flu & illness policy.
