On Thursday, October 2, the Wolves Swim Team hit the road for an action-packed trip to Penticton, where they competed fiercely against the Penticton High Swim Team. With grit, teamwork, and plenty of spirit, the Wolves took on every race with determination. Rookie swimmers dove in with courage while our senior athletes led with poise and experience.
Despite long six-hour bus rides and a busy weekend schedule, the team balanced studies, competition, and camaraderie with impressive focus. “My favourite part was the long bus rides with the team — I got closer with them,” shared Enzo Loszerbo ’30.
The team stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham, where they enjoyed downtime together in the pool and hot tub, and grabbed snacks from a nearby plaza. Meals were another highlight, from lively dinners at The LOCAL restaurant to a shared pizza night with the Penticton swimmers. “It was my first Varsity Swim Team trip, and my favourite moment was connecting with the team. I can’t wait for the next four years,” said Ronin Faber ’30. “I had more freedom and independence on this trip than I’ve ever experienced before.”
The Penticton High swimmers proved to be strong competitors, but our Wolves rose to the challenge. Each athlete returned home with renewed confidence, sharpened skills, and a fire lit for the races ahead in the coming season.
