Before Your Tour

List of 8 items.

  • What happens during an Information Session and Tour, and how long does it take?

During your time with us, you’ll have the chance to explore our vibrant learning spaces with student ambassadors, engage with members of our enrolment and leadership team, gain a deeper understanding of our application process & witness the unique learning opportunities we offer our students. Please plan for approximately 90 minutes- 2 hours for Junior school sessions and 90 minutes for Senior School sessions.
  • Do I need to register in advance, or can I just show up?

Pre-registration is required so we can maintain manageable tour sizes and ensure a great experience for everyone. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins.
  • Can I register for more than one session?

To allow as many prospective families as possible to visit, we kindly ask that you register for only one session per child/application cycle. An exception would be if you are applying for children at both the Junior and Senior School. In that case, you may register for one of each.
  • How many adults should attend?

We request that a maximum of two adults per family attend.
  • Should I bring my child with me?

JK- Grade 1: We wish to highlight that the tour involves a considerable amount of walking and the content shared will be directed at adults. All children this age will have an opportunity to explore the school and meet our teachers at our in-person assessment days, happening later in the fall. While children are always welcome if childcare isn't available, we kindly encourage parents to attend on their own so you can fully engage in the session.

Grades 2-7: We encourage students entering these grades to attend our sessions.

Grades 8-12: We highly encourage students entering these grades to attend our sessions. It is both valuable for us to meet these candidates, as well as for them to experience daily student life at our school.
  • If my child’s grade-specific sessions are full, is it ok to attend another session instead?

If your child's grade-specific session is full, you are very welcome to register for any other available time. While the presentation details are tailored by grade, the campus tour remains the same for all sessions. Please note that the afternoon session on September 28 (Kindergarten–Grade 7) will not include a tour of the Junior Kindergarten spaces.
  • What if a session is full or none of the dates work for me?

If a session is full, you can join the waitlist on our registration portal. If a spot opens up or an additional tour date is added, we will notify you right away. Tours are not mandatory to submit an application, though we strongly encourage prospective families to attend if possible. It is the best way to experience our culture, see our community in action, and gauge if WPGA feels like a good alignment for your child’s educational and social needs.
  • Where should I park?

Parking is available in our JK/K parking lot to the right when you enter our campus off of West 8th Avenue. You can also park near Trimble park or in our lower lot off West 4th avenue. Please allow 5-10 minutes to walk from your car to the Upper Gym.
