From the PVG

On behalf of West Point Grey Academy’s Parent Volunteer Group (PVG), it is my pleasure to share the exceptional mission and mandate of our parent community, a wonderful group of people who care deeply about our school, our greater community, and our children’s experience at WPGA.
 
The PVG’s mission is to support WPGA’s mission and strategic priorities and to help foster a strong, inclusive, and engaged school community. We aim to accomplish this by:
 
  • Serving as a point of connection and communication between the school’s Leadership Team and parents.
  • Enhancing a genuine and personalized sense of belonging for students and families.
  • Hosting, co-hosting or supporting events for community-building, fundraising and school celebrations.
  • Coordinating a variety of opportunities for parents to volunteer their time and talents in support of the school.
The PVG holds three general meetings a year, including an Annual General Meeting in June, and supports 17 committees. Being part of our parent association is one of the best ways to participate in our children’s school journey, to connect with other families, and to help advance the school’s mission and vision. It's truly a rewarding experience that enriches our own school experience while benefitting the entire Grey Wolf community of students, parents, teachers, staff and friends.

PVG Gallery

Since 1996, West Point Grey Academy has gratefully resided on the Jericho Lands, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Honoured to learn and play on these beautiful lands, we endeavour to be a leader in Indigenous education. In creating shared understanding and opportunities, we hope to help foster a more equitable society for all.
