The Shaping Lives Fund is our annual campaign dedicated to providing all WPGA students with the resources and support for their learning and growth, so they reach their fullest potential. Through the Shaping Lives Fund, our community unites with a shared purpose: to enrich every student’s experience at WPGA.
Your gift makes an immediate and lasting impact, advancing programs, facilities, and innovations that inspire excellence and shape the future of our school. Together, we can ensure that every student benefits from opportunities that spark curiosity, foster growth, and create a vibrant, inspiring environment for all.
Many of the exceptional opportunities that enrich the WPGA experience are made possible through the collective generosity of our community and your support of the Shaping Lives Fund.
This canbe made online by credit card. Or, to donate by cheque, please complete this form and deliver to junior school reception or mail it to the school (attn: Advancement Office).
Donating a gift of securities is a tax-efficient way to support WPGA. Those who donate appreciated securities (including stocks, bonds and mutual funds) directly to a registered charity eliminate capital gains on the investment.
Your participation goes beyond simply giving — it ignites innovation, strengthens our community, and creates opportunities that are shaping lives and futures at WPGA. Every gift, of any size, makes a meaningful difference.
You can direct your support to the area that inspires you most:
Although gifts to the Shaping Lives Fund are welcome any time of year, we officially launch the program in the fall. Donations can be made online or by cheque (please submit this form and email or drop off to the Advancement Office).
Like all nonprofit independent schools, tuition and government grants cover functional programming, staff compensation and operational maintenance at WPGA. The Shaping Lives Fund helps to keep tuition as low as possible while enabling the school to provide exceptional programs, enriched curriculum and cocurricular offerings. Gifts to the Shaping Lives Fund are tax-deductible.
Each gift is meaningful and, collectively, our gifts have a tremendous impact. All donations to the Shaping Lives Fund are directed to the school's priority needs for the current school year. We report back to our generous parent community annually on the projects completed and their impact on our students' educational experience.
Our goal is to have as many families participate. Our ultimate goal is 100% participation from the entire community providing essential funds to maintain annual upgrades to our programs and facilities. Together we can do great things!
Funding priorities are identified by teachers and staff and vetted by the School Leadership Team. Gifts over $10,000 can be directed to an area of focus in discussion with the Advancement Office.
Yes, we encourage becoming a matching donor, particularly for our Giving Tuesday campaign each year. There are different ways to organize your match and we can discuss what works for you. Some employers also provide a matching donation for your gift to WPGA, so it’s always great to check.
Donors to WPGA receive a charitable tax receipt and are acknowledged in our Annual Report. How you are recognized is important to us, so please take a moment to fill in the recognition portion on the giving form or contact the Advancement Office. Gifts may be anonymous (names will not be listed in the Annual Report).

Since 1996, West Point Grey Academy has gratefully resided on the Jericho Lands, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Honoured to learn and play on these beautiful lands, we endeavour to be a leader in Indigenous education. In creating shared understanding and opportunities, we hope to help foster a more equitable society for all.
