Varsity Swim Team Makes a Splash at Zones!

By Brooklyn Logue '26, Team Captain

Last Friday, while most of the school enjoyed a well-deserved sleep-in, the varsity swim team was up early and ready for an exciting day of racing. Coming off the success of the ISAs, our swimmers were eager for another chance to break records—and they delivered!

After setting a new school record in the 50m Butterfly (B) at Zones, Calder Cannell ’27 showed incredible speed once again, beating his own record time. Meanwhile, our record-breaking relay team of Benny Lin ’27, Adrian Lee ’26, Andrew Zhong ’29, and Jonah Moon ’28 set another school record in the 4x50m Medley Relay (Open).

All the hard work and dedication throughout the season truly paid off as the Wolves captured the women’s AA banner with 193 points, the men’s AA banner with 145 points, and finished 1st overall with an impressive combined total of 338 points!

A huge thank-you goes out to all the parents and staff for their support throughout the season, especially Mr. Garinger, Ms. Dedels, and Mr. Pope for their coaching and leadership. And a special shout-out to the legend, Mimi Jones, for cheering on the team at both the ISAs and Zones.

Congratulations to all our swimmers. Your dedication, teamwork, and spirit have made an incredible impact this season. Best of luck to everyone heading to provincials!
