WPGA's Grad Committee is thrilled to invite all students from JK to grade 12 to take part in our first-ever Pumpkin Carving Contest on Wednesday, October 29! Celebrate the spooky season, show off your creativity, and help raise funds for Grad Committee.
How It Works: • Students purchase and carve their pumpkins at home. • Bring your finished pumpkin to school the morning of Wednesday, October 29. • Drop-off will be under the tents at the back of the Junior School near the basketball court, where entries will be registered and assigned numbers for judging. • The suggested entry fee/donation is $10 (card only), with all proceeds supporting Grad Committee initiatives.
Judging Categories: • Most Creative • Disney-Themed • Funniest • Scariest • Best Animal Theme
Awards & Pick-Up: Winners for each category will be announced in The Howl on Thursday, October 30, and prizes will be awarded! Please remember to collect your pumpkin after school on Wednesday, October 29—any remaining pumpkins will be composted.
We can’t wait to see your spooky, silly, and spectacular designs, and thank you for supporting Grad Committee!
Since 1996, West Point Grey Academy has gratefully resided on the Jericho Lands, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Honoured to learn and play on these beautiful lands, we endeavour to be a leader in Indigenous education. In creating shared understanding and opportunities, we hope to help foster a more equitable society for all.
