By Ms. Karen Melville, Vice Principal, Instruction, Junior SchoolEach year, we proudly recognize four outstanding grade 7 students with the John Blackmore Citizenship Award, PVG Inspirational Learner Award, Ng Award for Fine and Performing Arts, and Outstanding Athlete Award. These achievements will be celebrated at the Grade 7 Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, June 10, and again at our exciting end-of-year assembly on Friday, June 13. Each award includes a $1,000 tuition credit.

Blackmore Citizenship Award
This award is presented to the student who has demonstrated the traits of a world citizen throughout the year. These traits include thinking deeply about others, being vulnerable and taking risks, showing dependability, making impactful decisions, taking a chance to make a change, and demonstrating our school values.
PVG Inspirational Learner Award
The recipient is a self-directed, motivated and curious learner. They demonstrate aspirational academic leadership and a growth mindset. The way they experience learning spreads joy and contributes to the school’s creative climate. They learn with determination and passion, which contributes to a positive ethos that, in turn, propels every learner forward.
Ng Award for Fine and Performing Arts
Presented to the student who has made the greatest contribution to two or more disciplines and extracurricular groups within the fine and performing arts department. A true ambassador of the fine and performing arts pillar, this student continues to support and inspire others in the program.
Outstanding Athlete Award
Presented to a student who has excelled in athletics, exhibited leadership qualities, and displayed strong sportsmanship. Recipients must have belonged to at least two athletic teams. This student consistently exhibits fairness, dedication, and perseverance, making a positive impact on the school’s athletic community.
