Wolves Sweep ISAA Cross Country Championships

By Mr. Sean Dawson, Varsity Cross Country Coach

It has been 23 months since the Wolves cross country team last competed and, as our first meet demonstrates, they have weathered their “pandemic hibernation!” At the ISAA Championships on October 5, our athletes had a very strong showing, winning the team competition in all four divisions and netting 9 of 12 medals.

The junior girls swept the podium, with (L-R) Cristina Banducci placing 3rd, Rachel Milau 2nd and Cadelle Roberts 1st. In the junior boys division, Andrew Neill captured the silver medal and Cole Timko was awarded gold for his outstanding performance. The senior girls captured two podium positions: (L-R) Ella Dawe placed 3rd and Eva Kriebel 2nd; in senior boys, (L-R) Liam Dachner and Peter Neil dominated, earning gold and silver for their efforts. What’s most impressive, however, is this team’s energy and support for each other at practice and races. Go, Wolves!
