Varsity Cross Country Wins Big at Mt. SAC

By Liam Dachner '23, Team Captain

Last month, the senior cross country team travelled to Walnut, California to compete at the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational, which took place October 21-22. The competition was no match for the Wolves, who won three divisions of competition (sophomore and JV girls, varsity boys) and had countless exceptional performances, ranging from podium placings to personal bests. Mt. SAC is known as one of the world's most difficult cross country races and this year's race was not without its casualties—some of our teammates were feeling the effects of running the hilly course in 27C weather.

In our spare time, we enjoyed hanging out at the hotel and exploring all that California has to offer, such as visits to the beach and to Hollywood. This trip was certainly one to remember, and we feel confident in our abilities as we head into the Zone Championships this week.
