Gwynne Dyer at WPGA

By Mr. Andrew Bendl, Head of Social Studies, Senior School

WPGA was privileged to host author and historian Gwynne Dyer for a thought-provoking lecture on his book "The Shortest History of War" on Tuesday, May 2, when he presented at our grades 10-12 assembly. Mr. Dyer's extensive knowledge and expertise on the subject of war was evident as he provided insightful perspectives on the nature of war and its evolution throughout human history. His engaging delivery and ability to connect with students left a lasting impression on all those who attended.

Mr. Dyer commented on the insightful, thoughtful questions asked by the student audience. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an accomplished scholar and look forward to future opportunities to engage with experts in their fields. We are also grateful for the support of the Shaping Annual Lives Fund, which allowed us to bring Mr. Dyer to the school.
