Those loonies add up! Last week's Loonie Sale raised $3,173.86 (our best year yet!), with all proceeds supporting KidSafe.

We had lots of fun shopping at the Loonie/Toonie sale. At the end of the sale, lots of kids had leftover money. Some of us had already thought of donating our extra money, so when our teacher asked our class if we would like to donate the rest of our money, we all said “YES!” The grade 6 classes helped us wrap our presents. Everyone felt compassionate about donating money. We were very excited to donate to KidSafe because they are nice to kids.
Mrs. Young also says, "All proceeds went toward KidSafe's skating party, along with 300 lootbags and 5 huge bags of games, puzzles and toys leftover from the Loonie Sale. Thanks to our students, teachers and families who made this sale such a success!"
Since 1996, West Point Grey Academy has gratefully resided on the Jericho Lands, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Honoured to learn and play on these beautiful lands, we endeavour to be a leader in Indigenous education. In creating shared understanding and opportunities, we hope to help foster a more equitable society for all.
