Quiz Club Kicks off Competition

On November 23, our senior and junior quiz teams competed in their first Schoolreach game of the season against McMath Secondary. Ava Joah '23, Callum Taylor '23, Calvin Liu '23, Anderson Gao '23, Kira Gwadry ’23 and Allen Hu ’22, all longtime team members, had a nail-biter of a game. After a commanding win by WPGA in the first game, the McMath team came back in the second game to win by two points overall. The junior team, Karlos Tse '27, Adrian Lu '27 and James Wang '27 played their first game ever and really enjoyed themselves. This young team shows a lot of potential!

Quiz club teams compete in two leagues, Schoolreach (aka Reach for the Top) and the International History Bee and Bowl (IHBB). The senior team practices in room 013 every Wednesday at lunch and the junior team (grades 8-10) practices in 013 every Thursday at lunch. Games usually take place on Tuesday afternoons (playing in games is optional). Everyone is welcome, so if you’re looking for a fun, casual place to meet and hang out, join us!
