Holiday Gift Drive for Teens

By Alex Rodriguez '25

The holiday season is progressively becoming more burdensome for many families as prices continue to rise exponentially. In fact, over 50% of Canadians are worried about not being able to afford gifts for their loved ones. Service Council hopes to mitigate some of these concerns by running a toy and gift card drive. In cooperation with the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, our ultimate goal is to ensure as many children as possible have a smile on their faces come Christmas morning.

We have set up a Christmas tree in the Senior School to place gift donations and advocate for our cause. We ask that you bring in unwrapped, new items and gift cards that adolescents would like! Examples of physical gifts include Nerf toys, board games or disposable cameras; excellent gift card ideas include Amazon, Urban Outfitters, Sephora and Cineplex, among many others. Thank you for bringing a sense of excitement and wonder to somebody’s holiday season.
