Yo Bro, Yo Girl Fundraiser

By Ava, Niki, and Avery, Grade 7 Community Service Leaders

A big thank you to the Grade 7 Community Service Club for organizing the Yo Bro, Yo Girl fundraiser! Everyone looked fantastic wearing red, white, pink, and purple to show their support. We are so grateful to our community for the generous donations and enthusiasm. Thanks to you, we raised an incredible amount in support of the Yo Bro Yo Girl Foundation.

The Yo Bro Yo Girl Foundation supports at-risk youth in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland by building strong, positive relationships and providing opportunities through sports and mentorship. The organization creates safe, supportive spaces where young people can build confidence, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their sense of self-worth. Their goal is to help youth stay on a positive path while becoming role models within their communities.

Thank you again for making this fundraiser such a success—and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Since 1996, West Point Grey Academy has gratefully resided on the Jericho Lands, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Honoured to learn and play on these beautiful lands, we endeavour to be a leader in Indigenous education. In creating shared understanding and opportunities, we hope to help foster a more equitable society for all.
