A Week of Global Connection in the UCCC

By Ms. Karen Castelino, Executive Assistant to University & Career Counselling Centre

What a week of learning and connection in the UCCC! We were grateful to welcome Mike Drish, Executive Director, Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Vanderbilt University, who shared valuable insights with WPGA leadership, PVG guests, and faculty on the importance of reference letters and what they should include.

We also hosted a St Andrews University evening for accepted students and welcomed visitors from universities across the UK, Australia, Europe, the US, and Canada. The week wrapped up with a fantastic turnout from WPGA students in grades 8 to 11 and their parents at the NACAC Global Universities Fair at Langara College, co-chaired by our very own Dr. McDowell and Mr. Smith.

Our UCCC team is deeply connected to the global university community and always available in the Senior School to support your family's postsecondary journey.

Since 1996, West Point Grey Academy has gratefully resided on the Jericho Lands, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Honoured to learn and play on these beautiful lands, we endeavour to be a leader in Indigenous education. In creating shared understanding and opportunities, we hope to help foster a more equitable society for all.
