By Lindy Moxham and Tom Sato, Grade 12
During our inaugural Wellness Week February 26-March 2, the First Responders provided complimentary health checks for students and staff in the senior lobby. These health checks included blood pressure, blood glucose and heart rate monitoring, and were a great way to raise awareness within the school community about the First Responders program. It also afforded the First Responders a chance to practice their skills by giving staff and students quick check-ups on their vitals. The First Responders thank Mr. Butler and Ms. Breslin for organizing and supervising this activity.
More on Wellness Week:
Organized by the Wellness Council, Wellness Week included the First Responder health checks, introduced therapy dog programs, provided morning yoga and smoothies, raised funds for Pink Shirt Day, and organized a mental health film festival and wellness information booth. We wish everyone great health and life balance, particularly as we head into Spring Break!
