Oregon Relays

By Jos Chambers and Logan Fung, Grade 9

Over the Easter long weekend, members of the senior track team took a long trip down to beautiful Eugene, Oregon, to participate in the Oregon Relays, one of the biggest meets in the Pacific Northwest. The meet was held at the University of Oregon’s renowned Hayward Field, one of the most historic tracks in the USA. Along with competing, the team had the chance to visit Nike's world headquarters, where we did a prerace workout in the wonderful facilities. We also explored the town of Eugene and the University of Oregon campus.

Despite age and grade differences, the team bonded and had a great time together. To cap off a fun and unforgettable trip, we had a delicious team dinner at the famous Track Town Pizza.

Participating Team Members: Maia Brittingham, Sophie Cameron, Jos Chambers, Sarah Diamond, Logan Fung, Mia Gradecak, Kaan Kerman, Cara Kovacs, Martin Prchal, Alex Pescitelli, Kennedy Randall, Anthony Shiwa.
