Dear WPGA Families:

Welcome to the 2026–27 school year. Whether your family is returning to WPGA or joining us for the first time, I’m pleased to welcome you and look forward to the year ahead.

Our 30th anniversary last year gave us an opportunity to celebrate three decades of WPGA—our students, faculty and staff, alumni, current and past parents, and friends, and the experiences that have shaped our school. As we begin a new school year, our attention turns to what comes next.

This year marks the beginning of Momentum 31, our new Strategic Plan and the framework that will guide WPGA through 2031. Our vision, Bold Thinkers. Compassionate Leaders, reflects what we want for our students: the ability to think critically and independently, understand different perspectives, exercise sound judgment, and put their learning into action.

Another impending initiative is a complete review of our cocurricular opportunities across both schools, in order to develop a coordinated framework that strengthens the breadth and quality of the student experience beyond the classroom. A renewed Indigenous Education Framework will also soon launch, ensuring a clear path for the continued embedding of Indigenous histories, perspectives, relationships, and ways of knowing across the life of the school. And, as we look at the environments in which students learn, we will be developing a more cohesive approach to classroom spaces across campus to further support an engaging and purposeful learning environment.

Building community remains equally important. This year, we will explore new opportunities for parents to connect with the school, strengthen pathways for our growing alumni community, and create opportunities to bring together current and past families, faculty and staff, and Board members.

We are also advancing important work toward WPGA’s long-term future. In partnership with MST Development Corporation, we continue to work toward a path to greater permanence on the Jericho Lands while planning internally for a future campus that will support exceptional teaching and learning for generations to come. We look forward to sharing more with our community as this work progresses.

Thirty years into WPGA’s story, we have much to be proud of and much ahead of us. I look forward to seeing these priorities take shape during the coming year and, most importantly, to the opportunities they will create for our students and our community.
