Senior School

Dear Senior School Families:

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year! Whether you’re returning for another great year or joining us for the first time, we’re so glad to have you as part of our senior school community.

This year is destined to be one for the books. Not only are we celebrating 30 years of shaping lives at WPGA, but we’ll also be unveiling our new school brand next week—a fresh look that reflects who we are today and where we’re headed together. It’s bold, meaningful, and designed to unite us across grades and generations.

We're also thrilled to unveil the new drama space, ready for rehearsals of the full-scale production of Mamma Mia this year, led by Ms. Niamh McAllister, Mr. Josh Hatt, and Ms. Eve Markart, as well as classroom 013 (next to The Study), which was fully renovated over the summer. These changes, along with our other Catalyst Projects, are all about creating more opportunities for students to move, create, perform, collaborate, and grow.

We’re also excited to welcome several teachers to our Senior School faculty this year:

  • Sofia Robins, Math
  • Gwen Hovey, French
  • Charly Pimentel, English
  • Sarah Power, Science
  • Kyle Leis, French & Social Studies
  • Adam Kemp, Associate Teacher
And a familiar face joins us from the Junior School: Mr. Kevin Jackson, who brings his incredible energy and expertise to his new role as Senior School Music Teacher.

Looking ahead, our University Counselling team is already off and running, with a full calendar of university visits, career-related workshops, and postsecondary connection events, including Curriculum Connections Night on Thursday, September 18 and the VAIS US College and University Fair on Thursday, October 9.

As always, our goal is to help you get the most out of your Senior School experience—academically, socially, and personally. This is a year to push yourself, try new things, and lean into all the opportunities around you. Your teachers, advisors, and counsellors are here to cheer you on every step of the way.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Gratefully yours,

Jason Parker
